Casa Golf: A Contemporary Country House Exhibition Space

A Showcase of Rustic Elegance and Modern Design

The Casa Golf exhibition space, designed by Dado Castello Branco, offers a unique take on the contemporary country house concept. With a focus on creating a relaxed and bright setting, this 100 m² space combines rustic details with modern design elements to create a balanced and inviting atmosphere.

The inspiration behind Casa Golf was to create a space that felt like home, while also serving as an exhibition space. The design team wanted to showcase a contemporary country house for a couple, with a strong emphasis on well-chosen furniture and specific details that would catch the eye. The use of blue tones throughout the project, along with a discreet use of plaid, brings out the country house style and adds a touch of warmth and coziness.

One of the unique features of Casa Golf is its ability to fit multiple uses into a limited area. The exhibition space includes a living room, kitchen, bedroom, terrace, and even a small garage for a golf cart. The contemporary architecture allows for the integration of rustic details, such as the use of stone and demolition wood, as well as natural fabrics like linen.

To create a balanced ambiance, the design team incorporated contemporary art pieces that contrast with the vintage furniture. This juxtaposition adds depth and visual interest to the space, while maintaining a cohesive and harmonious overall design. The use of upholstered furniture, natural leather, and personal objects as details further enhances the unique character of Casa Golf.

Despite the challenges posed by the limited area of the exhibition space, Dado Castello Branco successfully created a design that maximizes functionality and aesthetic appeal. By carefully considering the materials used for construction and interior design, Casa Golf exudes comfort and elegance.

This project was originally created for the Casa Cor show in São Paulo, with construction taking place from May to July 2008. Since then, Casa Golf has garnered recognition and acclaim, including the Iron A' Design Award in 2014. This prestigious award is given to designs that demonstrate innovation, practicality, and adherence to professional and industrial standards.

Casa Golf stands as a testament to the creative vision and technical expertise of Dado Castello Branco and his team, including Nicole Conrad and Tita Shinohara. By seamlessly blending rustic and contemporary elements, this exhibition space offers a captivating and inspiring experience for visitors.
